The Big Texan

We left Santa Fe and we have been on the road all day. We did get a late start, but have been going pretty steady with gas stops and a stop for a cup of soup in Tucumcari. This is a sign from that town.

We found out we were at the midway point of Route 66 on our way back onto 40 after a gas stop. The midway point is in Adrian, TX.

Right before Amarillo, we had to stop at the Cadillac Ranch. We trenched through some mud to get these pics.

So we were pretty hungry when we rolled into Amarillo. We were going to cab it to the BIG Texan, but it turns out they run a FREE LIMO service from all the hotels along US 40 in Amarillo.

I don't have any pictures of The BIG Texan SteakRanch, but you can check out the history of the place here:

they must have repainted the cadillacs since we last saw them. Good pics of your trip.
